How to improve google search ranking

How to improve google search ranking

This post is a step-by-step guide to improving your Google rankings quickly. It’s the only fast SEO tactic that I know of. If you’ve never done it before, there may be huge opportunities to improve your Google rankings. Find a keyphrase that you’re already ranking for, but not ranking that high. If you can find these phrases, you can find the corresponding page. If you can find the page that’s ranking, you can better optimize it for the phrase and watch the rank jump.

1. Start with basics :-

If your website is difficult for users to navigate and Google to crawl, your rankings are likely to suffer.Poor website structure and information architecture can doom even the best SEO campaigns.

First think on a mobile platform. That is the pathway to success.

2. Niche

 Niche is more than just a topic. It’s the approach you’re going to take, the audience you want to go after, and the way you’re going to talk to them and position yourself as an expert.

A niche doesn’t have to be your passion . But it does have to be an interest of yours. The best niches are exciting enough that you’ll be motivated to continually post about it, and accessible enough that you can build an audience.

This is why it's so important to go niche. Here's what I mean by this: Instead of trying to compete with big companies for extremely popular (and usually more general) keywords, drill down and become a "big fish in a small pond."

Keep in mind, this will often mean shifting the focus of your business from more general to more specific products or services. For instance, instead of exclusively offering general home renovation services, you could consider specializing in "one day bathroom renos" or "custom kitchen makeovers." These more specific keyword phrases will likely be much easier to rank for, which will mean you can start ranking that much faster.

3. Choose realistic keywords.

Anyone can get the top spot in Google, if they target the right keywords. For instance, if I optimized a page for "blue wubbie nubbie doll," I could probably grab the top stop in a couple of days. However (and it's a big however), would I actually want to rank for this phrase? Probably not, considering it's not even a real product.

just looking at keyword data, these tools can give you information like search volume, ranking difficulty (useful for content strategy and SEO), keyword value (useful for pay per click advertising), competition and more. There are dozens of keyword research tools, but here are some of our favorites to get you started.

1. Ahrefs is a complete suite of keyword research, content and SEO tools.

2. AnswerthePublic breaks down its results by type of question, so that you can target content to providing the answers.
3. Google Adwords Keyword Planner lets you evaluate monthly global and local search volumes for keywords, competition levels and an estimated cost per click. To get keyword ideas, login and go to Tools » Keyword Planner, and choose one of the options under Find New Keywords and Search Volume.
4. SEMrush provides keyword data and helps you find keywords related to your main search terms. This paid tool has lots of other features, too, but you can try out a free keyword search on this page.

The SEO Book Keyword Suggestion Tool provides search volumes, related terms, estimated value and more.

 4.Content to your site :-

Content strategy refers to the management of pretty much any tangible media that you create and own: written, visual, downloadable ... you name it. It is the piece of your marketing plan that continuously demonstrates who you are and the expertise you bring to your industry.

You might've heard how important content creation is to the growth of your business, but as you'll see throughout this post, it needs to have a well-planned purpose. When you develop a content strategy.

When talking of SEO or Search Engine Optimization, web content is divided into basic formats considering the structure of present-day websites. They are,

* Non-Template Web Contents
In this case, a website provides a blank space where web content is written in the form of paragraphs and bullets. Information written in these pages embellishes the services and amenities provided by a company. Non-template contents are mainly used because, they have lower quantity of info graphics involved and can be customized. This makes websites fast and in the process reduces website load time.

* Template Web Contents

Template web contents are those where information is written as per specific formats provided on a web page. Specific sections of web contents are written within fixed spaces. These web contents include graphics and a structural design. Template web contents are more prevalent among websites today.

5.Confirm your rankings

Start searching for the phrases in Google to confirm your rankings. Now you’ll notice that the “average position” really isn’t the same as rankings. Sometimes, you’ll see yourself ranking higher than the report suggests. Other times, you won’t see your site at all.

There are a lot of reasons for the discrepancies.

Your site may have more than one page that ranks for the phrase.

Your site may rank in image search results.

Your site may rank differently today than the average ranking across the date range in the report.

Your search results may be personalized for you based on your location, browsing history, etc.

6.Wait a few days and check your rankings

How’d we do? Ranking a bit higher? If you don’t see a change within a week, you probably aren’t going to see a change at all.

In my experience, a few small changes can have a big impact on rankings, especially if the page wasn’t well optimized to begin with.

The total time to find a phrase and update the page usually takes less than 10 minutes.

why seo is so impotrant?

It’s called search engine optimization because it involves iterative improvements over time. It’s not something you do once. Repeat this tactic every few months!
